We are a small and lean Custom Renovation and Construction company.
Being small and lean does not mean we do not have the people and resources to make your renovation absolutely spectacular.
It does mean that we can (and do) control the quality of our craft. We stick to our estimates of time required to build and the cost to do so. We start on time and stick to our cost estimates. We finish on time because we do not run around between multiple jobs – we finish your work before we start someone else’s work.
Although we do most of the work ourselves, we subcontract to some of the best craftsmen in Toronto and we supervise their workmanship. We have licensed electricians, plumbers, excavation & foundation work companies. We have sub trades with whom we work such as roofers, siding, soffits, rainware and evestrough installers.
Designs & Permits
We will assist in design and structural work. We have a engineering consultants as well as designers we use. Permits are required for structural changes to a house (e.g. removing walls, adding exterior door openings) and we can assist you in obtaining permits from the city.
Whole House Renovations
We do custom kitchen design and renovations. We will put you in touch with our design people or we will use a design of your choice. It's up to you.
We start at the foundation
Some companies come to meet the owners with glossy materials and big talk. If you are planning structural changes, the first thing we do is go to the basement and study the foundation.

The "bones" are crucial, but the finish work that every one sees is our specialty.
Organizing Your Space
Built in closets
Many of the homes in the city and in East York have fairly large closets that have a small 28" door to access 6'-7' of internal closet space. We open the wall to provide access to the 7' full closet and we install pre-made closets from a manufacturer such as California Closets or IKEA.
Installing pre-made closets with doors is an excellent alternative to mirrored or louvered doors. It provides a clean look without sacrificing access.
Kitchen Cabinets
We have used a number of kitchen cabinet manufacturers in our renovations. Some have excellent design services and good recommendations.
IKEA products and kitchens are of fine quality and we have used their products extensively. IKEA also has an excellent design support programme. For a small fee, an IKEA designer will sit down with you, in person or online, and design your kitchen to fit your space. IKEA kitchens often equal (sometimes better) in quality and at significant savings compared to major kitchen manufacturers.
IKEA uses Blum hardware for drawer slides and cabinet hinges. Blum is a German manufacturer of some of the best cabinet hardware in the world.
We have a great deal of experience in full floor demolitions and renovations, partial floor renos with new layouts for bathrooms and closets, basement finishing, outbuildings (including garages and workshops), decks, porches and fencing. We build laneway houses and will assist you in obtaining permits and drawings for your laneway house.
